CGCC-Los Angeles Statement Regarding the Results of Section 301 Investigation

Los Angeles – China General Chamber of Commerce Los Angeles (CGCC-Los Angeles) is gravely concerned about the current tension in U.S.-China trade relationship and possible escalation of the friction caused by the proposed trade sanctions announced by President Trump on March 22, 2018.

We believe a stable and win-win U.S.-China trade relationship is critical to the success of our two economies and business communities while imposing unilateral sanctions will inevitably trigger retaliation, damage bilateral trade and hurt the interests of numerous businesses and households in both countries.

As a non-profit organization to promote trade and investment cooperation and mutual understanding among Chinese and U.S. businesses, stakeholders and communities, CGCC-Los Angeles urges the two governments to adopt collaborative approaches in addressing trade policies and practices of concern, in order to maintain the trade relationship that benefits our two countries.

The China General Chamber of Commerce-USA (CGCC) has been recognized as the largest and most influential non-profit organization representing Chinese enterprises in the US. As the Los Angeles Chapter of China General Chamber of Commerce–USA, CGCC-Los Angeles brings together hundreds of enterprises in the region.
