The China General Chamber of Commerce-Los Angeles (CGCC-LA) convened its annual gala, bringing together over 340 business leaders and industry representatives from both the United States and China. The event highlighted the ongoing economic relationship between the two countries.






Guo Shaochun, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles, spoke to the mutual benefits of U.S.-China trade, noting its contributions to job creation, cost efficiency, and consumer purchasing power in the United States.

He referenced that over 7,000 Chinese companies have a substantial investment presence in the U.S., and more than 70,000 American businesses also operate extensively in China.

Mario Cordero, Chief Executive Officer of the Port of Long Beach, emphasized the port’s pivotal role in U.S.-China trade, with 70% of its cargo volume directly tied to China. He stressed the importance of continued partnerships and green initiatives.

The event concluded with cultural performances showcasing both Eastern and Western traditions, and attendees expressed positive expectations for future U.S.-China trade interactions.
